Blame It On The Rain

Weather forecasts today provide more data than ever: hours of sunshine, pollen levels and even hourly graphs.  Sadly, it doesn't improve accuracy.

Surprisingly a quick reference to our Old Farmers Almanac ​​may provide more reliable information.

​Yesterday was a day that could see sunny moments or precipitation. We made a call to do work that can handle either one.

With a newly constructed deck ready for finish and an arbor that needs to be painted before vines leaf out pressure washing was the task of the day. ​

Our picture shows the deck with some great natural colors which we plan to enhance and protect. This deck was built this past fall and through the winter has seen the suns rays attack the surface fibres. In order for the coating to bond properly we need to remove that thin layer. ​

We will get this coated once dry and moisture content is measured. According to my almanac looks like a great summer deck season ahead. Now where is my barometer?
